Our History

During the summer months of 2012, ZCA conducted 10 Saturday sessions that gave us the ability to test run how the school would operate before we started in September of that year. We had the opportunity to conduct initial diagnostic assessments covering the 4 learning knowledge bases of English, Mathematics, Reading and Word building and these series of workshops involved 8 pupils. Its essence was to identify pupils current level of academic proficiency and the possibility of any learning gaps.  Most of these pupils are now undergoing continued individualized learning with the use of PACEs which might lead to a qualification called ICCE (International Certificate of Christian Education) which is recognised by universities such as Oxford and Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

In 2013, the started a homework club  during weekdays and at term time; in the evenings. This service gave opportunities to local parents to gradually introduce their children to the concept of Christian Education by way of extra tuition.

To dates we have conducted over 6 award ceremonies where the academic, social and spiritual development of each pupil at ZCA have been recognised and honored with the giving of Zion merits and other gift tokens. We have also facilitated outdoor sporting events and educational trips with some of our partner organisations. We aim in the years to come to continue to provide holistic training that enhances out students access to national and international academic institutions.
