Newsletter – February 2017

Saturday 11th February, 2017

Dear Parent / Carer,

As I write, it is with gratitude to God; in regards to that which He has done, is doing and will yet do in the days to come. I was reassured this week through the scripture that ‘…we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren’ – I John 3:14a (Italics and emphasis mine). As one called by God, you can rejoice because life has been given to you – spirit, soul and body. Praise the Lord!

Please note these dates in your diary:-

a)As informed by WhatsApp, the ‘After-school’ tuition service resumes again on Thursdays 23rd, at the usual time and the usual venue. Enjoy the break!

b) The Christian Education Europe Assistance visit which had been booked for Thursday 26th January at ‘The Holy Cross’ Church Hall has been rescheduled for Thursday 9th of March.. Please ensure that your child arrives promptly at 16:00 hrs on the day.

c) The prospects of a ‘Zion day’ is tagged for any of the following Saturdays in March – 4th,11th,18th or 25th. Please indicate your preference as soon as possible before a decision is made. As with previous events, the ‘get-together’ provides an opportunity for in-depth Bible study, social interaction and relaxation; which normally, is not possible at the tuition centre. A confirmation of the exact day will be sent by text on WhatsApp.

d) Invoices for the spring term are now overdue. Kindly, remit our Bankers, if you haven’t already done so.

Enjoy your much earned break next week, even in your job.

Newsletter – Summer 2017

Tuesday 30th of May, 2017

Dear Parent / Carer,

With this famous saying in mind, “Time waits for no one”, it is evident that we have all made some choices from September 2016 leading to this period of testing and examinations for some of our children. Your informed choices have put our children in good stead to be able to express their knowledge, skills, talents and abilities in numerous ways. These collective graces are empowering them to consider what pathway the Lord has in mind for them as they consider the prospects of a future, as adults in a modern society.

Well done, so far in providing the needed support in shaping the future of the next generation to date.

Please note these dates in your diary:-

a)‘After-school’ tuition service resumes again on Thursday 8th June at the usual time and the usual venue. Enjoy the break!

b) ‘Zion day’ is confirmed for Saturday 10th June at 14:30 hrs. This ‘get-together’ event provides an opportunity for in-depth Bible study, social interaction and relaxation. The venue for this event will be communicated closer the time by WhatsApp messaging or by text.

c) This year’s ‘Summer Term Award Ceremony’ has been scheduled for Wednesday 12th July between 16:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs at The Holy Cross. This event serves as an opportunity for your children to showcase their work and to be recognised for their achievements as well. Please mark this date in your diary and invite some of your local friends who might be considering the prospects of their children joining ZION in the future.

d) ‘Summer Camp 2017’ at Bideford Bay, Devon is for 7 nights, arriving on Mon, 31st July (Check-in from 4pm). There are still a few free spaces. Please do consider inviting any of your friends or family members.

Newsletter – December 2016

Friday 16th December, 2016

Dear Parent/Carer,

At the Thursday Autumn term Award Ceremony last week, I was particularly delighted to see the progress our children are making with regard to their individual focus and discipline.  By this I mean the fortitude and rigour it takes for each child to be involved with the National Curriculum, other extra-curricular activities as well as their commitment to complete PACE work, check-ups, self-tests and the final tests.  To the glory of God, over 100 tests were performed by ZCA pupils over the last 15 weeks. PRAISE YE THE LORD!

Please, note the following dates in your diary:

a) We resume our ‘After-school’ tuition service on Wednesday 11th of January, 2017 at the usual time and the usual venue.

b) A Christian Education Europe Assistance visit has been booked for Thursday 26th This has been arranged to provide professional guidance on our services as a ‘Home Tuition’ Service. Please ensure that your child arrives promptly at 16:00 hrs on the day.

Seasons greetings and God’s continued blessings in the year 2017.

Yours faithfully,

Mr K A Aganna

Newsletter – June 2016

Monday 6th June, 2016

Dear ZCA Parents/Carers,

We hope you had a restful half-term. We are looking forward to the last ’34 or so’ official school days in the run up to the long vacation. We trust the LORD to help and aid us so that we finish well to the glory of God.

Please mark the following events in your calender:-

– Thursday 9th June @ 16:00 hrs – resumption of ‘After-school’ club activities at The Holy Cross.

–  Thursday 14th July 16:30- 18:30 prompt – ‘Award Ceremony’ and last day of year & summer term.

Unfortunately we’ve had to agree on a week day closure because a convenient Saturday in July could not be arrived at by all parties. Please bear with us and book your time off work/study as you have been well informed and given enough notice well ahead of time. It will be a great celebration to have all parents, well wishers and the wider family of ZCA present to celebrate your children’s progress and achievements this year.

We look forward to an exciting and blessed season of working with you this summer; well into the holiday season.

Kind regards.

Yours faithfully,

Kayode Aganna
