Year 2013

Newsletter – November 2013

Monday, 25th November, 2013

Dear Parents,

It is with gratitude to God that I express these few thoughts with you about our activities over the last couple of months. The pupils of Zion Christian Academy (ZCA) have made a concerted effort to advance spiritually and academically as they engaged in PACE work and their participation in the National curriculum with PLACE project and Biddenham International School at Bedford. Extra-curricular activities like the ‘After-School’ Club and the swimming classes have also picked up without a hiccup. Praise the Lord!

ZCA as a community interest company have begun the process of official registration as a ‘childcare provider’. This process will enhance our ability to access local services more easily as Social Services and other Local Inspectorates become more interested in our activities. Please continue to remain in prayers with us for a smooth transition from where we are; to where, I believe God will ultimately want us to be, – having premises of our own.

The closing ceremony for the autumn term will take place on Saturday the 14th of December at The Holy Cross, Church Hall from 13:00 hrs. This assembly of staff, parents, pupils and friends, will be a time for our pupils to show case their talents in performing arts (Drama & Music) and be rewarded for good conduct and academic excellence.

I seize this opportunity to acknowledge your regular monthly remittance to our ZCA account and look forward to our time of communion and fellowship when we meet soon.

Newsletter – July 2013

Tuesday, 16th July, 2013

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are sending this newsletter at a time when a majority of academic institutions take stock and then break up for a while; before beginning again; to take and make a fresh approach to teaching, tutoring, mentoring and coaching. Even the word of God admonishes us to number our days that we might apply our hearts to wisdom (Psalm 90:12).

For us, the members of staff at ZCA, we have every reason to thank the Lord for the grace and mercy He has shown us as we lunched out by faith in September last year to undertake this initiative of a ‘Home-Education-Cooperative’ closely akin with a biblical and Christian ethos. We have known of the help that comes from the Lord’s presence every day. He has met each of our varied need and our hearts are rest assured that He that has begun this good work in us and through us would be faithful to complete it.

With the introduction of an ‘After School’ club at ZCA and as we begin to explore an ‘expansion programme’ next year, we do not only see the demand and requirement that these project entail, but we also see God; who is good and is more than enough.

Please join us this Friday the 19th of July 2013 from 17:00 to 19:00 Hrs.’ at the Holy Cross, Purway Close, LU3 3RT, Luton as we celebrate everything good that the Lord has done for us. The pupils and parents alike will be rewarded for collaborating with us in this enterprise of Christian and home schooling.

Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord, praise, ye the Lord (Psalm 150:6)

Newsletter – May 2013

Thursday, 9th May, 2013

Dear Parent,

It is with delight to God that I pen these few words as we continue to seek for ways to see that our lives are rounded and centered on Christ, daily, becoming better acquainted; as we see and embrace the unfolding of God’s good pleasure towards us in Christ Jesus, by Him empowering us by His Spirit. ‘..For eye hath not seen,, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him’ ( I Cor 2: 9).

Here are a few notices for your consideration as we make plans toward the half term break starting fully on Monday the 27th of May and finishing on Friday the 31st. We plan to resume normal academic activities at ZCA on Monday the 3rd of June

  1. Preparations are being made to start our ‘After-School’ Club at different premises from where we are currently using at Lewsey Farm. It is planned that the hours will remain the same. It is our intention to convey more details when you attend the Parent Orientation & Engagement Meeting scheduled for the evening of the 23rd of May between 19:00 to 21:00 Hrs at the official school venue – 8 Coltsfoot Green, Luton. Please endeavor to attend.
  2. New parents to ZCA; who received an email from me with an attachment call ‘An Initial Parent Agreement Form’, are reminded to complete the requested parts, save it and return a copy in reply to me. By doing this, we can complete the process of facilitating signatories at the meeting of the 23rd.
  3. Monthly academic fees for your child has not changed. Furthermore, thanks to all those who have continued to demonstrate a strong commitment by word and deed to establishing the Kingdom of God in the heart of your child.

Be rest assured that we continue to look for more rewarding ways to serve you and your child better. By God’s grace I look forward to our next meeting. See you there.

Dear Parent,

As the days begin to get brighter and warmer, it is evident that spring is upon us and we can hope for the blossoming of flowers and tress; with the expectation of a fruitful harvest in summer. God in his infinite wisdom and mercy has set these laws of nature in place as we read a covenant passed down for all generation, ‘While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease’ (Genesis 8:22).

We of the ZCA wish to remind you of our Open day Event scheduled for this Saturday the 9th of March. This event is to take place at The Holy Cross, Purway Close, Marsh farm, Luton, between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. This event will provide a platform for all of us to become better acquainted; on how christian education has evolved in the UK and in Europe over the years.

It is a blessing to see that our Child Care Event that took place in February has yielded dividend as I formally welcome Mrs. Louise Moore who has enrolled two of her children to ZCA and now serves as a parent member of with the academy.

Our prayer is that we will be found faithful at His coming. Please do continue to pray for us as we do for you and your children.

Newsletter – January 2013

Thursday 10th January, 2013

Dear Parent,

May I take this opportunity to congratulate you in taking an additional step of honoring Christ as we enter the year 2013. Although time is only a figment of imagination in the mind of man, we feel that a unique season has been presented before us, for our children to be continually taught of the Lord. We pray that as we seize the moment, we would be found to serve Him; more faithfully as He continues to empower us by the Holy Spirit.

Two of the activities listed below are just part of a number of many other activities that have been lined up to help improve the leading experiences of the pupils at ZCA:

  1. ZCA Saturday School is to start again very soon. Date to be confirmed.
  2. An Open Day event is scheduled for Saturday 2nd March, 2013. Time to be confirmed.

Once again, we of Zion Christian Academy pray for the continued success of your child as they grow and learn in order to fulfill the heavenly mandate set by God for their lives and as many that the Lord, God shall call and choose.
